ECHOTERRA Joined By Former VISIONS OF ATLANTIS Singer, INTO ETERNITY Drummer

November 3, 2009

ECHOTERRA, the new female-fronted symphonic rock/metal band featuring keyboardist Jonah Weingarten (PYRAMAZE),guitarist Yan Leviathan (AVIAN),and bassist Brian Hollenbeck, has issued the following update:

"We would like to officially welcome our new bandmates; singer Melissa Ferlaak and drummer Adam Sagan. Melissa is known for her vocals on VISIONS OF ATLANTIS' third release, 'Trinity'. Adam is well known for his work with the Canadian metal band INTO ETERNITY.

"We have parted ways with singer Suvi Virtanen for the sole reason that she is located in Sweden while the rest of the band is located in the U.S. which makes it very difficult to perform live. We would like to thank her for her phenomenal performance on our debut CD and we wish her nothing but the best in her future projects. Adam replaces John Gensmer, since John is busy with his main band EPICUREAN and will not have the time to dedicate to ECHOTERRA; we send him a huge thank you as well and we look forward to hearing EPICUREAN's next album."

ECHOTERRA is currently working on a brand new EP which will feature three re-recorded songs with Melissa and a couple of instrumentals that were left off the first album. One of these songs, "In Your Eyes", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Commented Ferlaak: "So thrilled to be a part of the ECHOTERRA team. We had a great time recording for the EP and it's great to work with such talented guys. It will be such an unexpectedly fun year coming up! Hope you all can join us!"

ECHOTERRA's first show will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2010 in St. Paul, Minnesota opening for EPICA. More dates will be announced soon.

ECHOTERRA's debut album, "The Law Of One", was released on September 15 via Blinding Force Recordings.
